The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) became effective on 25 May 2018. With this regulation entering into force, the protection of personal data is now even more regulated; therefore, the companies and organizations are required to adapt the process to the new requirements.
On the basis of knowledge of the regulations, good practices and views of the Information Commissioner in the area of personal data protection, we help our clients with establishing and implementing measures to meet the requirements of the GDPR and to prevent the misuse of data by unauthorized persons. We also help our clients to avoid data breach and complaints lodged with a supervisory authority; we also represent them in inspection procedures that could be brought against them.
In the field of personal data protection and compliance with GDPR, we advise our clients regarding the processing and protection of personal data, review or further improve their internal acts, prepare forms, records of processing activities and other documents etc. We also advise them on how to meet the GDPR requirements in other fields of law, such as specifics regarding their employees or the establishment of video surveillance, etc. We also offer legal support in cases of inspection procedures and impact assessments. We are also authorized to perform tasks as a data protection officer (DPO).
